Tomtom One XL Classic Speed Cameras

A friend has just purchased a Tomtom One XL Classic GB and Ireland and I was going to install a third party speed camera database for her similar to the one I've loaded on my Tomtom One v2 - but the XL Classic has their own one loaded already.

Is this a freebie or will she have to purchase it from Tomtom after a period of time has elapsed? Also can this be updated easily as my database is?

It's a subscription service, with some pre-loaded to start you off. There may be a 1yr sub code in the box.
