Backup Time ?

Have just invested in the latest Western Europe map and have noticed that the backup now takes around 50 minutes compared with 5-10 minutes before the update.
Has anyone else noticed this and if so is there an explanation ?

The new map is one single file, where as the older ones were separate countries so could be backed up simultaneously.

The EU maps weigh in at over 1GB, nearer 2GB, so speedwise is about right for USB.
