Default Warning when speed limit changes

Hi,
I have a One XL and have it set to alert me if I go over the speed limit.
However, if the speed limit changes and I’m going too fast, it doesn’t alert me.

So if I’m doing 65 in a 70 limit and the speed limit changes to 60, it doesn’t alert me.
Is there a way to set this up?

It tends to warn when you get 4 or 5 miles per hour over the speed limit as defined in the map data, this isn't necessarly correct - What is showing in the TomTom display re speed do you get a 56/50 with a red background? - if there is no limit displayed the data for the speed limit is missing from the map data, or if it is there and the device isn't warning you audibly but its flashing red then you have a setting wrong on the device - Mike

Default warning sound if going faster when speed limit reduces

Hi MIke,

yes, the status bar shows the actual speed and the new speed limit against a red background but with no warning sound.

Change Preferences/ Saftey Preferences and select the checkbox for "Warn when driving faster than allowed" accept the stupid disclaimer then you can set the built in sound/ noise you want from the device when you are speeding - Mike

Thanks Mike,

I have that setting already... for example, if I accelerate from 55 to 65 in a 60 limit then I will get the warning sound.
But, if the speed limit changes from 60 to 50 and I am doing 65, I don't get any warning.
