Question Tom Tom 1 2nd Edtion map activation

I have had my tom tom 1 for about 4 years now , during that time have needed to copy all details to a larger SD card so I could add details of locations throught the country which relate to the work I'm involved in (eletrical distrubution sites).
Every thing has been working fine up to last week, I set my destination as normal, went to POI where the site locations are stored set these as I have for the past 4year no problems turned it off on arrival, 2 hours later turned it no to repeat the process, now I can only get europen maps up,and when trying to switch to england and irish maps it's asking for an activation code found on. www.tt.code.com.
where are these codes stored and how do you access them.
I need help soon the old fashion method of using a hard copy map is hard work.
regards
Gabriel

Have you performed any updates to the device or did the No Maps Found error message just appear out of the blue??

I would try going to the TomTom.com web site and download the "Clear Flash" utility, run this three times with the device connected to the PC and see if the map starts to work again - Clear Flash can often fix issues with map activation errors, click Here for more details and a download link - Mike
