Its got a slightly smaller speaker and battery and a different cradle lay out but the software is the same and the GPS receiver is better. Because of the smaller battery speaker its also a slimmer unit.

What are the other differences between the one and the 700 apart from the remote control and having all of europe on the hard drive?

As to me it looks pretty much the same or even better and for a fraction of the price, whats the catch?

I would have to say that the tomtom one looks like a phenomenal unit and at a great price. Not speaking from experience though!!

The 700 has the euro maps, handsfree calling, a faster processer, more memory an ac charger and the remote control.

If you are only using this in the UK the One is the better deal.

my feelings too. I've just got a ONE v4 and am more than happy with it. The TMC traffic adapter is good too, when it can get a signal.
