traveling within Europe with country maps

I bought a TomTom One with the BENELUX maps included and then purchased the France map through the TomTom web site later. I installed both maps on the same SD. Things work fine within either BENELUX or within France (after selecting the right map) but traveling between eg Belgium and France is a mess: if I travel from Belgium (using the BENELUX) and want to select an address in eg Paris then this does not work. I have been discussing this problem with tech support who basically cannot give me an answer. They are advising me to buy the Maps of Western Europe. Am I getting cheated here?

There are 2 options:

Get the GB_Plus map and this will have all the main roads, although you'll only have the POI's for GB (well that's how it is on my PDA). Might be different if you load more maps. Not tried that due to SD card limits.

What you need to do is select the map for the country you are travelling to.

From Belgium select the France map, this will take you on the major roads of europe through Belgium and once at the border the France Street level takes over.

France to Belgium use the Belgium map.
