Default TT One sound problem

I've just bought a 2nd hand TT One, when I map out a route I dont get any sound output ? Its not connnected to anything in the car, just trying it at home at the moment.

If I plug in my headphones I can hear the sound through that.

I noticed there is a speaker on the back.

Have I missed anything, sound is definately enabled.

thanks

Welcome to our forums.
Try inserting and removing the headphones a few times as sometimes the socket switch gets stuck. If that doesnt help then the speaker is faulty.

When I dont have the SD card in and start the unit it comes on with the TomTom opening sound through the speaker. So sounds like the speaker is working. When I insert the SD card all seems okay in terms of navigation etc, other than the voice is not being delivered through the speaker. Does this sound more like a firmware issue ? I think the unit is delivering the voice as you can hear it through headphones and lineout to car speakers. Something suggests to me that its a firmware issue in delivering the voice from the card to the speaker itself. Just my thoughts, would welcome any suggestions.

Wouldn't have said it was firmware related but you never know. Contact TomTom on 0845 161 0009 for further advice.
