Help with TomTom One

Hi,
i am new to the forum so any help available would be greatly appreciated
i have a tomtom one and i was looking at the maps for download and i noticed that most of the maps were for a range of tomtom systems, i also have the legitimate maps for the tomtom navigator 5, what i was wondering is: will the tomtom one take the navigator 5 maps? on the websites most of the products are for both sat nav units, but are the maps totally interchangable or is there a software compatibility problem with doing this?
as i said any help or info on this would be greatly appreciated, i would hate to go and buy all the latest maps for the tomtom one and find its the exact same program which i have for the navigator so i thought the best thing to do was to ask the experts,

I had the ipaq 4150 and bought the update to maps of western europe some time ago (but current ver5). I have transferred the maps over to my TomTom one and reactivated them no problems. I just went to ttcode and entered the tomtom one device code.
