TT Home won`t let you remove your password.
It has to be done through your device. But since your device won`t allow you to enter it, then you are pretty much stuffed!

Since v5xxx doesn`t use a password, you could install it, then re install v6.

You`ll still get v5 on the USA version of TomTom website.
Save it for a rainy day.

Try master reset on the bottom of the tomtom, if that doesn't work, well I'm not sure but you should be able to access the tomtom through the PC and change/remove password protect.

Some knowledgeable peeps might know at http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/module...viewforum&f=93

My guess is it can't be done without wiping everything off the device, otherwise it makes its use pointless in protecting it from theives.

There is always a back door, its a case of finding it. Passwords can be bypassed, have you contacted TT, or as getsurfers suggests check out other forums, someone will have had and solved the problem

Default password problems

I have a new TT one 30 and found that after I set a password it recognised it the first time but then would not recognise it. Couldn't connect to the PC or anything as a result. Holding down the on button for more than 15 seconds seemed to do the trick though ... for now!
