Default How up to date are the maps?

I have a Garmin streetpilot III de luxe - but fancy a smaller device with full postcode search - Tomtom one GB v2 fits the bill.

I assume the mapping is up to date, or as up to date as possible with these things. In recent years my Garmin suffered at the Ferrybridge area - after the re-routing and new roads. I assume these are up to date on the TT.

Also, I never really kept up to date with the Garmin. The TT website seems good for this sort of thing (even if they do want more cash) anyone any experience of this good or bad?

Cheers

Steve

The tomtom one GB has the latest available maps from tomtom.

Due to the nature of digital mapping it can take up to 2 years before a new rd appears on the map.

Tomtoms are far easier to add things to and up date than any other system.
