Default My TT One GB arrived today!

Mixed emotions! I was delighted to receive it, but have a severe case of man-flu so never got out!

I have a Garmin Street Pilot III which I still adore, but rather than update the maps, upgraded to the One.

Initial findings are the Garmin is more user-friendly - that may just because I am more used to it. Push buttons are better than touch screens too;-)

I have a few questions. I have downloaded some POI's (RSPB reserves and footy grounds) does anyone know how to route direct to one of these as I cannot do so.

There is a lack of a manual - with "how to" examples - I always like a good manual showing step-by-step how to do stuff. Sure I will figure it out, but not today. Ah yes, patience is a virtue.

I was going to get the mains charger but I believe as well as the set charging via the USB port, it also receives a charge when used via the 12v DC too.

I'm sure I will have a very late night tonight, and work out a lot of stuff. There are forums for the rest right? - Now for those Florida Maps and possible one or two other little toys (voices & colour schemes).

If anyone can point me in the general direction , I will appreciate it.

Steve

You can either:

Navigate to, and select POI, find the POI set from there (you might need to clcik on the keyboard icon, as the main POI screen shows the last 6 used in order of popularity by you (ie the ammount of time you use the set)

or

Use advanced navigation and select a starting point.

This is assuming you've put the OV2 and BMP files into the map folder OK, and TT can see them.

Thanks. I've spent the last few hours looking and playing. It's getting better and even managed to transfer what were called waypoints on the Garmin to Favourites on the TT.

From this I can see my POI's have transferred after i downloaded some. I even managed to read what can be loosely described as a users manual on the supplied disk. I wish we could have printed books grrr.

Right, now I need a case to protect this wee thing
