IT payment server error

For two months I have been trying to buy the new US/Canada map. I receive "*IT payment server has returned an unexpected error". TomTom support keeps telling me they are updating their servers. Two months is more than ample time to update a server. Is anybody else having this problem? Is this what I am to expect from TomToms products? If so anybody want to buy this piece of junk?
