Default TOMTOM ONE 3rd. edition internal memory?

Does anyone know if the internal memory can either be replaced, or formatted to erase the factory loaded maps so new map can be loaded?

Cheers 'getsurfers' but ive tried that, and everything else between. I have a pc, Apple Mac, mp3 players and new itouch. All have given me gray hair but this TOMTOM device has caused me to drink. Its a wonderful device and a life saver when it works but as i ran out of options i thought id ask about manually opening this device and removing the memory to format and re-install to hopefully get it working with any map. Right now im on TOMTOM's 0845 premium UK number in the mighty queue, which is salt in a wound.
Its 5 o-clock somewhere?

Very good 'getsurfers',but i still held on to a ringing line at a cost of over £15 yesterday, only to find out today through the same UK customer support line that they were closed all day. There was some joy yesterday as i contacted the U.S. customer service and they were open and helpful. The automated greeting on the U.S. line stated what they're opening hours were which the very typical UK didn't share. The U.S. team worked with me at no cost to my skype account and exhausted all options other than trying the UK line again at which a helpful young lady tried but we failed in the end. Although TOMTOM have a record of the purchase, and i have the disc with map (apparently) i cant load it on. Now, when all this telecom service/lack of/service runs dry you'd think you could just drive over and have them sort it out right? Nope! Dial again, pay some more.
Lesson learned. No final cost on todays electronic gadgets. If it works out of the box, never connect it to a pc.
U.K. +08451610009/typical European WGAF service /huge cost
U.S. +18664866866/ true help and support /free
