TT+ Maps Download Service

The "city streets" maps that are downloadable via this TT+ service - are they more detailed than the ones that already exist in the region maps or are they just the same?

For example, I have the UK regional map std with TT5 - but I note that you can buy a streets map of London.

But would this map be anymore detailed that the one I already have? Or is it just a way of getting a city map from Europe without buying the whole map?

In other words, the London map would be of interest to, say a German tourist visiting London, but would actually be exactly the same map as UK users already have.
