Default Bought new tomtom, cant reset account.

I have just bought a new tomtom xl regional as my 5month old tomtom one 2nd ed was damaged and i wanted the wider screen model.

i have subscribed to traffic and the speed camera pois on my other tomtom and wanted to transfer the subscription onto my new satnav - as i was under the impression from the tomtom site this was possible. whenever i try to reset my account and enter in my new device number it tells me to contact customer services as you cant change device for 6 months, and having completed the form it opens up i have had no reply from tomtom (i understand from previous postings this is normal as tomtom customer services are terrible) I even tried to contact the 0845 number but after 35mins on hold i gave up.

Is there any solution to this problem other than take the tomtom xl back and replace it with a garmin - as i am reluctant to pay tomtom twice to have this service.

Keep trying the 0845 number. You should get through after a few minutes tops. They will transfer it for you.
