Default Rider and CK3100 parrot bluetooth car kit

If you know how the tomtom rider works it requires a bluetooth connection for all sound and it also allows handsfree control of your mobile. The downside is that when used in a car you have to wear abluetooth earpiece for satnav directions and phone speaker.
I have a CK3100 installed in my Renault Espace (2006 model) by pairing it with the tomtom rider all directions and phone sounds are outputted by the vehicle speakers, however............
The CK3100 paired up with no trouble at all and even reports "tomtom rider" on the display, all functions work flawlessly except the volume! All sounds, phone and satnav, are so loud that they vibrate the speakers, I have turned the CK3100 volume settings down to minimum and the tomtom volume is set at minimum but the problem remains.
Has anyone got any idea why this may be happening or how I can cure the problem?
If I disconnect the CK3100 from the vehicle audio system and connect using the seperate wires to a stand alone speaker will this resolve the issue?
any help would be much appreciated as this is driving me crazy.
I am a service manager at a Renault dealership and we supply and install these kits so I am technical enough to understand the wiring etc but this has me and my staff baffled.

Please help
thanks
