battery/charging level

Hi - I am a newbie - just won a TomTom930 in the Daily Express comp - good eh!! Have got to grips with most of the functions but cannot find how to check the battery level or even if it is charging. Guess it must be something easy but advice will be gratefully received. Thanks.

If you tap the signal strenghth icon at the bottom right of the screen. The next screen should show a battery level icon.
