Does it calculate routes with the lock and no sats?

Works a charm almost everytime. Time to acquire is fine most often but rarely have any idea how marginal or otherwise it is.

Seems strange to be honest. Do you know what GPS version you have? You can tell on the GPS Status page in the bottom right hand corner of the GPS tab.

TomTom 3.03 --- the navman screen gives more info - including # of satellites, drivers listed as ALK, Navman

Well Charlie, Thanks for trying ... resorted to random trial and error last night - joys of my technical past I guess... if I lie and claim that it is a Tom Tom GPS jacket for the Ipaq --- it works like a charm with all the bells and whistles.

Many thanks again

David
