Default Tom Tom Go & Orlando USA Map

TTG = very impressed. Plug and play for real.

I am attempting to locate a map of Florida that will load into my Tom Tom Go.
Because the software is unavailable from Tom Tom, plan B suggested that if I was able to contact someone in FL that had a TTG it may be do-able that way.

However, would it simply be a case of downloading from the CD?

I notice that my UK CD also seems to include the OS for the US, i.e it shows jpeg maps of NY etc. My guess would be that the only difference between the UK & the US version is that the US version has the US map included on the CD in place of the UK map.

Any observations would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Graham G4HFG / W4HFG

Welcome to our forums.
There's only one reason why I don't think it would work. The CD code on the back of your TomTomGO CD envelope will only activate a UK version with UK map so you would need a code to register the FL map if/when you got it. Using the code that came with the US version probably would work as it's for the application/map not just map. Until someone can try it I don't think we'll know for sure
