tomtom go software on one xl

I have a TomTom One XL for my car and have just bought a GO for the gf. Can I put the software of the GO onto my One or will it not work?

The software is model specific, there is a good chance that it might work but there is also a possibility that certain features don't work, worse still is something called the "Bootloader" if that gets messed up it can prevent the device from even powering up, I would leave it alone if I were you - Mike
