Question TOM TOM 3 & NAVMAN 4410 bundle problems

Hi there everyone...

Here goes then....

I haqve just purchased the TOM TOM 3 software and Navman 4410 bundle from the Total GPS site.

I am having problems setting it up?

I can connect the GPS Reciever no probs but can not get Tom Tom software to communicate with the receiver.

When I go to select GPS device the Navman 4410 is not on the selection list to use with the Tom Tom Software?

Do I need drivers or an upgrade or something?

Please help as its driving me nuts...

Some sort of guide would be handy please as to how to set the system up...

Regards
Spuds...

Welcome to our forums.
You should be able to select TomTom Wireless GPS from the GPS Status page and the COM port setting depends on which PDA you have.

I didn't think you could use the Navman reciever with Tomtom.

Yeah, it's just a standard NMEA receiver so will work under the TomTom settings.

I wish I knew that was the case as the Navman reciever has a great battery life span.

I had a Navman system for a while but swapped it with you guys a Total PDA because of mapping issues. Wish I'd know they were interusable at time.
Charlie how much for a good quality wired reciever to run with my tomtom and T3.

Many thanks.

I'd recommend the Haicom 203 model but we're out of stock at the moment. I used one for ages and it was great. You would need the Haicom to TomTom adapter.

Yeah the TomTom cradle or the Seidio one. You can't connect the cabled receiver to the Arkon mount without a relevant adapter which I believe you can only get from Arkon...sorry.
