Postcodes in the UK

I am looking to buy some SAT NAV software for a PDA. I want to be able to put in post codes as the destination but am unsure if you can do this with TOM TOM. Can anyone confirm if its possible or not and if not does anyone know of another software package where u can do this?

Welcome to our forums.
Currently TomTom only supports partial postcodes i.e. the first 4 digits.
However there are some 3rd party offerings that will run with TomTom and give full postcode navigation. I seem to have lost the link for the version I use but I'm sure someone can post it.

on this issue..
could someone explain why pocketpc can use an add on full postcode search but palm can't?

is the real reason why TT won't add this function is card size?

Also I'm reading that there is a way to use full PCS via POI -is this correct??

The reason it's not on Palm is basically because Palm OS is not a multi-tasking OS.

SO ARE YOU SAYING THAT THE TOM TOM GO YOU CAN SEARCH BY POST CODE AND THAT IS MY BEST OPTION TO BUY

No John, you can get an addon for the PocketPC version to allow a full postcode search...not on the GO.
