i have a dell axim a5 with tomtom navigator with uk maps loaded and working fine. however i recently brought tomtom maps western europe with a 256mb sd card, the map i want to download is france. the french map is 252mb which does leave me a bit of space to work with. the problem is when i try to load the map i get the same warning message "unknown device archetexture" if anyone could help it would be much appreacited.

| | Lee i would advise that you delete the folders on your 256, when you are installing the maps i would recommend that you select a folder on PC, once the files are copied to a folder on your hard drive simply copy them to you storage card. You can do this by going to the folder right click copy, my computer, mobile device, my pocket pc, storage card, right click and paste.

Any more sugestions please.

There have been some compatability issues with SD cards and TT2, I only use Sandisk or Lexar, which have worked fine. I would sudgest buying a USB read/writer for your PC then writing the info will only take about 2-3 mins/100Mb if you do it via activesync it will take hours!!
A decent usb reader will not cost more than 25 quid for a multitype device |

I brought a reader/writer from my local currys fired it up formated the card and it went through fine. i did not realise that the card had to formated,
although it was brought new. once again "Q" many thanks.
