Default CF Versus Mouse

I want to run a GPS system using my existing Jornada 568 and Tom Tom software.
I was going to put the sotware on to a CF card but I am tempted to buy a CF card receiver so as I can easily transfer to different vehicles and use it for walking trips.
If I go for a CF receiver how/were do I store the software as the PDA memory is insufficient?
thanks!

Allanguest you would have to install very small maps onto your Jornada if you going to do that. As your PDA only has only 64 Meg you could really only put small regions on.

I had a Jornada 568 running TomTom, I used a CF receiver and prchased the HP MMC expension battery. This is a new battery that slots into the battery holder at the back & gives you an MMC slot. I then purchased a 128MB MMC card.
Only problem is getting hold of the battery/memory card, I had huge problems as HP stop all accessories the moment thy stoped the 568 range. Try e-bay.

Default Mouse AND CF

I already have a Dell Axim X5/Mouse/TomTom2 and it rocks. Really pleased. I have the maps (and a whole lot else) on a 1Gb CF card. I want to get a CF receiver for flexibility (toplay!) but don't know which one to get - any comments (I will have to get a SD card for additional storage). Also will the maps still work if I simply transfer the files from the CF card to the SD card?

Thanks,

Tim.

Tim,
I've 2 suggestions on the CF Cards - Pretec CF receiver or the Haicom CF Card - check out the link below which gives you TTFF results on a number of different receivers. This might help you make ur mind up!!

Also there shouldn't be any issues with copying your files from CF card straight onto the SD card - do you have a card reader? This will do the job faster too!
