Cool Dell X30 GPS Position Unreliable

I recently purchased a Dell X30 Pocket PC with TomTom 3 Car Pack through www.totalpda.co.uk. I've had the GPS positioned in various places in my car (Peugeot 407) window and sat on the home office widow, hanging out the open window but still get the message "GPS Position Unreliable".

I've set my home address as the first favourite within TomTom, the GPS is set to "TomTom Navigator GPS" and "Serial Cable on COM1" (I tried Serial Cable on SP2 but the setting wouldn't save.

I dare say I may be missing something blindingly obvious but any assistance would be appreciated.

I get this sometimes on my Ipaq; a soft reset seems to solve the problem.

I just received mine yesterday and have exactly the same model and problem. I ended up driving round the block and suddenly it picked up the GPS. I tried again today and found the problem again, I started to drive down the road and then touched the screen and it again picked up the GPS.

Ian mate how much did that cost? i'm thinking spending about £20 on an external antenna would have been a bit cheaper?
