Question New Sat Nav system

Hello,

I am thinking to buy my first sat nav system and need some assistance.

I have had a look at this on the total pda website for £599 exc vat (TomTom Bluetooth Navigator II with New Ipaq 5550). Can someone tell me is 128MB enough just to run a detailed map on the Ipaq?

Also do I need to buy anything else that this bundle does not offer?

Many Thanks for your help,

Salma

I have a 2210 Ipaq with Tomtom2. On the CF card I have stored the full set of detailed UK maps and a handful of POI's such as speed cameras and petrol stations etc. The total size used for this is 100MB so you should have no trouble using a 128MB card although I would recommend a 256MB card if you plan to use the PDA for anything more than satnav such as MP3 player etc.

Salma,
You might want to consider a mounting bracket for the kit aswell - this system does not include one like some other packaged do. We have a selection in the PDA Accessories -> Cases/Mounts Sections.
The sound on the 5550 is also not as loud as most PDA's so the Arkon Audio Adapter might be a good idea - or an arkon amplified mounting bracket?
If you need any help, don't hesitate to contact me.
