Upgrade to TT5

I have just downloaded Tom tom 5 on dell axim X50, upgrade from TT3.
Deleted maps of TT3 before downloading TT5, as per instuctions.
Try to start navigator menu and get the msg, "No maps found, please install and activate an original Tom Tom Navigator 3 map first."
Can anybody Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I,m assuming that your original version of tomtom navigator is not a copy, and you are the one that activated it? In which case, you will probably need to reinstall your ttn3, get correct codes (product code + device code = activation code) and then redo the upgrade. A bit of a pain but can't see why you are having this problem unless your original version of tomtom is a copy.
