Cool TomTom Rider

sadly the navman is not waterproof so those VERY nice people at Navman will not be getting my cash, the clever people at TomTom are looking favorites at the moment with the release of the 'Rider' unit.

Lets just hope its at a reasonable price coz I ain't paying over £400.00 as I want the european maps too.

No news from PC World about any stock yet...has anyone else found one already for sale in the UK??

Fraser is on a distinguished road
Default

Not yet realised im afraid, but have heard from a couple of forum members who have handled the unit at various IT conferences, exhibitions etc! And all good reports!! As soon as this is available we will definitely be advertising for orders.

However just through the grapevine, I do think the unit will be priced over £400....

Cheers,

F

Smile TomTom Rider

Hi Fraser, and thanks for your reply.

I still REALY love the Navman iCN 520 but am a bit peeved that Navman don't have any specific bike mounts or waterproof covers/cases. This has prevented me from buying the unit.

Another question about the TomTom Rider...can it be used as a handheld unit like the 520 can? if this is the case I will be banging on the door of the TomTom offices in Holland telling them yo get a move on, nice idea about the downloadable voices, I will be getting John Cleese to tell me where to go!!

I will keep am eye onen on the store so I will know you have the Rider as soon as it's on your website.

Tim.
