Default Slower Maps or Faulty GPS receiver

When I upgaded to TT5 I also changed to a Cabled GPS receiver.

What I find in V5 is that I can take an exit or turn at a junction and have travelled 100m or more before the map rotates to show my current position.

Is this a TT5 feature or a faulty GPS recevier?

Try disabling POI. It speeded mine up, now the map scrolls nice and smooth.
Let me know if it cures it

Thats a good solution, however the POI IS A FEATURE OF TTN5!!! Why the hell should we have to disable it to make the thing run properly?????

I believe that it may only be one or two POI's that are the problem. You could try disabling all of them and then enabling one at a time. This way you should find the bad ones and hopefully you can replace them with a different set from the POI website. Let me know if you need the web page for those.

I know this is long winded and you shouldn't need to do this but if it works?????

You can still navigate to your POI's even if they are disabled.
It just does'nt show them on the moving map. The only ones i have showing on the map are the speed cameras.
