Unhappy IPAQ Tom Tom 5/4 GPS Frustration

I have a IPAQ 3630 , i have tried to get Tom Tom 5 working on it, IPAQ sees the GPS in tom tom GPS settings but they dont change from a grey state to blue and it wont work, The Screen shows at least 9 Sats but it wont sync to none of them, how can i get it working, i am using a NMEA GPS at 4800.
I have also tried Tom Tom 4 , but when it fire it up it cant see the maps, i have the Tom Tom 4 maps but where do i save them and under what format ie great-britain-map, as it says no map found , i have the maps but in which Directory/Sub directory do i save them , do i need a Pointer file if so what is it called and where do i put it as i am stumped or will it even work?.
Can any body please help me or is my Combination not possible 3630 and NMEA using T4/T5, or is there some software out there that i can use on my ipaq as i have Tom Tom go at work and i like it a lot ??

Yours, Frustrated as ever.................................
Mick

Okay its me again , somehow i have managed to get Tom Tom 5 Working on a IPAQ 3630 using a 256 CF Card .
I am not sure but after many formats of the CF card and soft resets, i performed a hard Reset of the IPAQ (This was the last resort before it was taking Flying lessons), tried it again in the Car and up came 6 Blue satellites in the GPS menu, instead of the normal Grey i was seeing.
I tried it with the 5.10 tom tom Patch and it didnt work format , reset etc etc.
I then tried it without the patch and it works fine, after soft reset, Hard reset
I will trial it Tomorrow and let you know the outcome.
System Combination
Ipaq 3630, NMEA Gps 4800 Baud (Cable version), Bluetooth CF jacket, 256MB Compact Flash card, Tom Tom 5.
Is this Sheer Fluke and has anyone else managed it on a Dinosaur Ipaq?????????????

Right then Dinosaur Ipaq Vs Tom Tom GO not running on Bluetooth
Ipaq was slightly slower in Tests next to each other and i mean slightly within 1 second or so, this is due to My dinosaur Ipaq Processor Vs Tom Tom GO's processor.
Re routes no problem and Speed Camera POI's worked a Treat.
Hope this helps with anyone else that has had the Same trouble, Result a GPS for the Car for around 140 Quid, courtesy of that well known Auction site........
