tomtom navigator 5 gb map problem!!

I have just installed the software on my HP iPAQ 22xx and initially all worked fine. Then the unit locked up and I had to do a hard reset.

Once again all seemed OK but now the maps appear corrupt. It won't route plan (planning error).

My home address still appears in the database but the street has disappeared from the map. If I go to Browse Map and select an address it shows my home address as in france! No detail on the map just a bad location.

It looks as thought the map database is currupted (on the expansion card). I guess I should call support & gert a new one sent unless anyone knows how to fix this?

Welcome to our forums.
If it displays your home address as in France then have you loaded the correct map?
Hard reset your PDA and reinstall the TomTom software and UK map only.

I have badly described the problem, if I put my home addess in it shows the position in the middle of nowwhere, when I zoom out the location is to the south of england, as if in FRance. I have only got the GB map loaded.

If I try and plan a route it says "planning error". It is as if the GPS locations have become corrupted to the unit is unable to navigate from one position to another.

Something is wrong but not sure what. Try the re-install and see how you get on.
