Please Help - Tom Tom 5 Bluetooth GPS Problem. (not the usual I think)

Hi- My TomTom Navigator 5 (on HP ipac 2110) was working fine with my Tomtom bluetooth GPS reciever until I accidentally let the battery discharge completley and lost all the software. I reinstalled it all and now Tomtom doesn't seem to talk to the GPS reciever. I have followed all the instructions on the tomtom website about manually configuring the reciever, but had no joy. I am able to manually connect but unable to get tomtom to recognise it. I am at a total loss. Can anyone please help?
