XDA mini S not TomTom compatable?

I have just upgraded my original XDA to and XDA mini and am horrified to be told by TomTom that none of its versions are compatable. Can this possibly be true? I am sure I have seen threads discussing using TomTom on the XDA mini. Any advice anyone? Thanks!!
