Question Strange prob/bug TT5 Nav

Running TT5 v5.21 on Dell x5, PPC 2002.

This prob started after driving along the M4 to London and the map went fuzzy. TT5 locked up, and I had to do a soft reset to get the PDA to do anything.

Since then, periodically, there is a strange issue with the screen. The screen will not display the menu, but instead splits the screen left/right all the way up.

So press the left anywhere, and you get volume setting. Anywhere on right side and you get the route screen. But if you go into the route screen, the screen works normally. Exit back out to nav or if you leave it until a recalc or instruction is given, everything goes back to normal. It also happened ONCE in Excel, but the TT 'hand' logo was still on the bottom, soon as TT went all was normal.

Apart from the crash, and a few excel file edits, no changes to the system to indicate a cause.

Anyone else heard of this either with TT or PPC???? It's driving me mad!

Common advice from technical support bods is to perform a full reset for such things, have you tried this?

Tried re-install and reset, but still happening.

Have noticed another way to get it to come back to life when this happens - remove from the TT x5 cradle.
