Default Make your own custom voices

As many of you will know it is fairly easy to create your own voices for your TomTom devices.

A rather clever chap called Graeme has written some instructions which can be found here http://www.moose.uwclub.net/tomtom/

Enjoy

Hi...What a great idea. I thought maybe I could get the wife to record the instructions, then it would be just like she was in the car all the time, complaining about my driving, giving directions, telling me off for going the wrong way etc etc...Sadly, it appears that the site has been terminated..or, at least my computer can't access it! Is there another address available??

You can record the sounds you want the device to say using your PC, doing this requires something like 58 or 59 individual audio files to be recorded in the OGG Vorbis format (Use Audacity as its very capable for this sort of task and free see Here) then you will need VIFTool to join the 58(ish) audio tracks in to a single file, more instructions and a download link for Vif tool 2 is Here - Mike
