Tomtom Nav 5 Pda Voices Error

Hi can anyone help please.

I have a PDA with tomtom 5 (SD CARD)

I have the homer simpson voice:

.bmp
.vif

I have uploaded the files to my voices folder in the SD CARD.

However when in tomtom clicking change preferences then voices the homer simpson does not show up.

I then downloaded a free voice the usa lady from tomtom site

.chk
.vif

uploaded them to my voices folder in the SD CARD

Started up tomtom and went to voices and the voice was there fully working.

Am I right in thinking that .bmp does not work with tomtom 5 pda but has to be .chk to work.

Which means the homer simpson voice wont work and have to find the version with the .chk.

Anyone who has tomtom 5 nav for pda voices please PM.

The files do need to be .chk and .vif to work.

Anyone have Joh Cleese of that please PM me.

You should have three files for voices like Homer Simpson. they should be data74.vif, data74.chk, and date74.bmp

The bmp file is the picture you get when selecting the voice.

The standard voices provided by TomTom do not have the bmp file as they use a graphic that is held elsewhere (a standard male or female shadow)
