cab files

This is a discussion on cab files within the TomTom forums, part of the In-car Satnav and GPS category; have bought a t-mobile mda vario.....how do i install cab files onto it......might seem like a stupid ...

have bought a t-mobile mda vario.....how do i install cab files onto it......might seem like a stupid question but for the life of me I cant get them to run..any help would be appreciated!!

Try changing the .cab files to read only. Then run them one at a time.

Ok then, try this.

Put an empty folder on your SD Card and leave it named New Folder.

Drag and drop or copy and paste the .CAB files in into the 'New Folder'. Make sure Read Only is ticked in their properties. If they are not ticked as 'read only' they will disappear.

Double click on any one and it should install. Do the same with the other/s. Some systems have two .cab files, some have thre or four.
