Bluetooth question

I have an O2 XDAIIi running TomTom5 with a TomTom Bluetooth GPS receiver.
When I turn TomTom off, it also turns the Bluetooth off on my PDA, which means my hands-free headset stops working.

I previously used TomTom3 and never had this problem - it's only happened since I upgraded to TomTom5.

Is there a setting in TomTom5 that I can change, so that when I turn the sat nav off the bluetooth function on my PDA stays turned on?

There isn't a settings but I believe if you turn Bluetooth on manually before you use TomTom then it will stay on when you exit TomTom. Works that way on my iPAQ 4150.
