Xda and Emtac

Hi
i have just changed my 3970 to a xda2 using tomtom 2 via a bluetooth emtac bts,and guess what? yup cant get it to work,it wont even bond correctly using the passkey of 0183.
I am pulling my hair out here .any ideas please
