Question Reloading TomTom after a 'crash'

My TomTom2 on a iPAQ5450 with Navman 4100 bluetooth GPS receiver worked really well 'out of the box', both in UK and 2 weeks ago in USA.

Unfortunately when I returned home from USA I plugged iPAQ into its cradle but forgot to check power-on for the cradle. It was unplugged and so the battery died and so did the TomTom.

I had to 'hard-reset' the iPAQ to recover its battery function and then needed to reload the TomTom software. I had setting backups on my PC and loaded these into the relevant memory areas of the iPAQ so I recovered the enabling code etc (I think). Then I reconnected to the Navman 4100 bluetooth GPS and all appeared OK (blue light flashed correctly on 4100 GPS to indicate the linkage was OK) but I cannot get the iPAQ to show any satellites when it is on TomTom Navigator - hence no directions or maps etc...

Any suggestions Guys and Gals?

What settings are on GPS status, is it tom tom wireless and bluetooth com 8? is there a connection in bluetooth manager and can you connect that way?

Thumbs up Reloading TomTom after a 'crash'

Thanks Stevie

The settings on GPS Status bore no relation to what they should have been.

Actually TomTom Navigator GPS and Serial Cable on COM1 - guess these are default settings on an unplanned reset ? Changed them to what you mentioned and guess what - it started working!
