Default Genuine tomtom?

Hello all, I am a newbie and this is my first post, so apologies if this has already been asked.

I have just bought a tomtom navigation 5 receiver on ebay for £78. The receiver arrived, but without the tomtom box, or an installation CD, manual etc. So, my questions are:

a) How can I verify that it is, (as was claimed) a brand new product?
b) Should it not have come with a warranty certificate?
c) Does anyone know where I can get a new tomtom 5 receiver for a similar price which is 100% new!
d) How do i go about registering the receiver with tomtom?

Many thanks for ur help.

You don't register the product with TT, or at least I haven't found a way!

There is no installation CD, and the manual is only a few pages. Assuming TT MKii, yellow (left LED) means charging, Red means needs charging. Right LED solid green means on, seeking sat lock. Flashing green means GPS lock.

It'll turn it's self off 10 min after loosing the BT connection. When you pair with your device, pass key is the usual "0000".
