GPS Bluetooth problems

My Palm T3 with wireless GPS receiver is proving to be a real problem. The GPS unit is not recognised. Adding the unit to trusted devices only works for one session. After that the only way to get it to work is to do a soft reset, delete the Receiver from the trusted devices list, add the receiver to the trusted devices list. Having to do this every time is really annoying. An email to Palm support came back suggesting that my handheld needs to be replaced or repaired. I don't want to have to send the handheld away until I can establish that is definitely a malfunction and not just some TomTom problem that could be fixed by a patch later on. Anyone else having similar problems, any advice?

TomTom's support line is constantly engaged has anyone managed to speak with them?
