Default Tomtom/Mac user - Help needed

Can you enter coordinates without a Mac (directly into the Tomtom)? - Are coordinates in degrees, mins. and secs. or decimal?

Can you zoom onto a point and get the Tomtom to take you to that point?

If I have a city entered into the Tomtom does the Tomtom automatically use the more detailed map?

Can one 'go via' a point without the Mac? i.e., make the instruction in the car?

Thanks in advance.

With Nav 6 you can enter lat long co-ords using degrees, mins, secs. you can also navigate to point by zooming the map.

Not sure what you mean by the map question. Tomtom will come with detailed maps of your country it uses these by default.

You can make up routes on the tomtom unit itself. Tomtoms can be used without a PC or MAC.

Thanks for your reply Martin. I like the bit that you can do things in the car without the need for a Mac or PC.

Can you zoom / scroll to a point on the map, make that point a waypoint, name that new waypoint and request to go via that new waypoint enroute from A to B?

I will Skype you from Australia where I am at the moment. I want to buy a 910 in the UK, have it posted to a chum in the UK who will test it. The unit will then be posted to a collection point in France where I'll collect it.

Yes you when you have a route selected you can select travel via and then select a point on the map as single waypoint.

We can have the goods sent to your friend if you email me I can go over the details with with you.
