Unhappy tomtom wireless GPS (9281x ) problem

Hi,

I'm new to www.totalpda.co.uk so bear with me!

I have just purchased a tomtomwireless GPS (9281x ) together with a Dell Axim30 from ebay.

The seller says he was soley using this for sat nav in his car.

However, when I try to use tomtom on the PDA I get the following error message: "No Valid GPS Signal".

The GPS reciever is switched on and paired via bluetooth with the PDA and is showing in the "active connections" menue under "outgoing connections".

In the GPS status menu of tomtom there some numbered boxes along the bottom with varying bars form a few of them (looks a bit like a bar chart). I'm not sure if this is a signal strength indicator.

Has anyone had the same problem/can help me?

Or does anyone know where I can download a user manual for the (9281x) model as it didn't some with one.

Many thanks

Mike

What settings are you using?

Also are you getting any signals of the GPS screen? If you are, wait a little longer for them to turn blue (GPS lock) - best done outside, should take a few miniutes with clear view of sky.
