DIY: Charging cable for Tomtom One New edition

I'm doing a charging cable for Tomtom One New edition.

How can I build it?

There is a mini-USB connector in charging cable. Is it charging if I connect 5V to pin 1 and ground to pin 4?

I wouldn't even go DIY, as if you fry your unit there's no come back.

The cables are cheap enough to buy. All TT cables for PC USB>mini, and for the car mini USB or 5v>cig charger

What exactly do you need that can't be bought?
