Angry tomtom citymaps, fortuna clip-on & hp5550

Hi all,

I have the above combination which seems lethal to me after reading most of the previous threads. It has certainly caused me no end of trouble and shortened my life... Hope I can get some help here.

Bluetooth on, connect to the gps through the BT manager and connection shows active as SPP slave. LAunch TT and then if I try to connect on com8 (which seems to be the one), connection wondow pops up asking me to choose a device. After that, the BT gps shows as ActiveSync in the active connections window and not SPP anymore. Lights flash on both the PDA and GPS but TT gets no data whatsoever. I tried with NMEA, SiRF, TomTom... to no avail. I tried on com5 or even com1 but no combination seemed to work so far.

Most annoying is that once the BT is started in TT, the PDA slows down terribly. I also use BT to connect to the internet through a Nokia 6310i and it works perfectly, each time.

Some help, please!

Thanks,

R

I don't have a solution but have you spoken to TomTom about it?

I wanted to ask them but seeing the apalling support everybody seemed to get from them, I didn't even bother. Hope someone can give me a hint.
