TomTom 6 on Ipaq HX 2790

Can anyone tell me if the navigator 6 and western europe maps work on the Ipaq 2790
it appears to me that as the 2790 is only an uprated version of the 2490 which is listed as working then it should work but before I 'bite the bullet' and go for the nav 6 upgrade I was wondering if anyone had this combination running.
I have spoken to TomTom technical but they won't commit themselves having not tested it
any help would be much appreciated
