** there are several updates that you need to run, but i have run all these and there is still the same problems. i personally have re-installed navigator 2 and it works perfectly!
the updates are: HP ROM update Update 3.01 (409/2) for TomTom Navigator 3 for Pocket PC

| | The following is an exract of an email I have just sent TOMTOM I hope this helps you, and I hope they reply soon...it's all very frustrating. I have just purchased a copy of your software and whilst I am impressed with the look of it and the user interface seems very intuitive, I am very disappointed with it. I will try and keep these comments brief and to the point in the hope that you can reply with advice as to how I can resolve these issues: - The Postcode searching is less than useless in the UK.
- The address look up is very difficult to use, eg when you select the city it lists places nowhere near the city, and it is hard to find a place unless you can guess the city that TTN3 associates with it…some times it refers to a county or region as being a city.
- The software does not integrate with Outlook Contacts at all in the way you claimed Tom Tom does in your press release:
“Navigates directly from a contacts database without re-typing addresses, thanks to integration with Pocket Outlook™”. - The Points of Interest are wholly inaccurate – when low on fuel yesterday I headed for a petrol station that did not exist…but was shown on your software
- My house is 370 years old and is not locatable on your maps...?
I have previously used Navigator software from Directions Ltd and found this to be excellent – not having any of the above faults – unfortunately they do not YET do a Pocket PC version. I need reassuring that these failings will be/can be addressed and I would like some idea of the likely timescale to a fix, otherwise I would like to return the software, as currently it does not do what it is supposed to do. I would welcome your advices |

| | Sean,
I've had major frustrations with TT3 and my Ipaq. TT2 worked fine but TT3 will not communicate with my Fortuna Clip On BT GPS. I have literally tried every combination of settings.
Fortuna have emailed me with step by step trouble shooting but even they now say that the faults with TT.
I think TT have got a major problem here. I also log into other Forum sites and the number of users with a problem is considerable.
The worst of it is that I'm driving to italy this weekend and had hoped to use my GPs but sadly i'm let down just when I need it!!
My recommendation to other users...... don't touch TT3 with a barge pole until they sort out some fundamental software problems! |

| | The 3.01 update failed to make any improvments on the freezing problem for me. However i then used the 3,02 update on the TOMTOM website page 2 FAQS. So far i have used the TT3 Bluetooth for 2 days and NO FREEZE UPS!!!! |

| | I must admit that i've used TT2 and 3 with my bluetooth ipaq 1940 and have not had any problems that you mention.
There are a few silly things like the post code mentioned and it has once tried to send me around the wrong side of a roundabout. The wife used it last week for the first time and it kept taking her off the motorway via sliproad and then straight back again. She was convinced I had programmed it to wind her up. so thank you TT for that amusment.
Overall I'm delighted with it but I must admit I check my route before hand before I travel. |

| | I am quite fed up with my TT3 upgrade (Bluetooth to IPAQ2210). Constant freezing and incorrect GPS data (took me to wrong destination 40 miles from correct one, despite checking twice that desitnation address was correct). I have installed patches but still hopeless. I am awaiting response from TomTom. PeterS | |
