Default Problem with TomTom gps and HP5500

Hi everybody,
I have a problem with my TomTom bluetooth gps.
I have an Ipaq HP 5500 and a gps receiver. The software of TomTom works without problems (the TomTom navigator). But I can't read any data from the serial port using a C++ application. I tried several free libraries (gps library and serial code based on Windows API). In both cases, I can open the port without errors but when I try to read data, the functions return 0 data. I don't understand why I can't read from the port. I have configutared the bluetooth like COM5 for inbound data and COM8 for outbound data.
Could anyone help me, please?
Thanks in advance.

Default Clue check

The HP5500 is a gigantic laser printer.

It doesn't need a GPS; it probably isn't going anywhere soon, and when it does, it should be powered off and packed for shipping anyways.

Maybe you have an HP 5555?!?!?

It is obvious that its a HP iPAQ Pocket PC h5550 that siahola is talking about. Regarding reading data from the serial port you will have to talk direct to HP, you can get them on 08708422339 then options 1,3,4 for the handheld department.
