The HP5500 is a gigantic laser printer.
It doesn't need a GPS; it probably isn't going anywhere soon, and when it does, it should be powered off and packed for shipping anyways.
Maybe you have an HP 5555?!?!?

I have an Ipaq HP 5500 and a gps receiver. The software of TomTom works without problems (the TomTom navigator). But I can't read any data from the serial port using a C++ application. I tried several free libraries (gps library and serial code based on Windows API). In both cases, I can open the port without errors but when I try to read data, the functions return 0 data. I don't understand why I can't read from the port. I have configutared the bluetooth like COM5 for inbound data and COM8 for outbound data.
Could anyone help me, please?
Thanks in advance. |
