TomTom dying!!!

Please can anyone help me I am the owner of a new Tomtom ONE v3 and I have used it approx 4 times. The 3rd time it just died after about 10 mins......... I always have it attached to the car charger. I have charged it on the computer but it died again after about 15 mins, I alway thought whilst charging it wouldn't die??? I am about to buy a charger for it - but I am a little worried about it suddenly dying whilst driving, plus 1st journey took me 2 miles from destination - do I need to go back to map -reading???

Sounds to me as you have a faulty unit, i use tomtom ( on a pda though) and have not had any problems so far in nearly 2 years. I would return it and exchange it where you bought it from
